How does exercise effect your mood

It has been proven through research and my individual experience that taking part in an activity, sport or exercising lifts your mood and has a positive impact on mental health. Recommended guidelines for physical activity are 150 minutes a week of moderate intensity exercise (such as cycling or a brisk walk) or 75 minutes of vigorous intensity exercise (such as running or a sport such as swimming or football) spread across a week. Whatever your choice, making sure you get regular exercise can help improve energy levels, improve your quality of sleep and naturally lifts your mood as a result of the body’s release of endorphins and many other positive factors.
